About the job

Brand Studio is focused on building the Google brand. By combining user insights, strategic thinking, beautiful design and storytelling, our team creates a wide range of work that drives Google’s reputation for being helpful to people, businesses, and communities. Our work also aims to build advocacy and trust in the brand. To achieve that, we’re a multidisciplinary team of marketers, strategists, insights specialists, creatives, producers, and engineers who work together to create exceptional marketing.

Brand Studio Insights Lab is on a mission to drive strategic insights and human understanding to make Google truly helpful and beneficial to the world.

In this role, you'll bridge the gap between emerging trends and tangible growth strategies. You'll identify, quantify, and translate macro trends into actionable plans that span across our portfolio, from product areas to feature prioritization, and audience engagement. Building capabilities in foresight, human understanding, scenario planning, and analytical expertise, you'll direct a team to influence and partner with executives, bringing the future to life and applying consumer insights to our business and the world.

Know the user. Know the magic. Connect the two. At its core, marketing at Google starts with technology and ends with the user, bringing both together in unconventional ways. Our job is to demonstrate how Google's products solve the world's problems--from the everyday to the epic, from the mundane to the monumental. And we approach marketing in a way that only Google can--changing the game, redefining the medium, making the user the priority, and ultimately, letting the technology speak for itself.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a robust consumer future and portfolio strategy framework including trend tracking, scenario planning, and opportunity assessment.
  • Translate qualitative insights into actionable business plans and roadmaps, encompassing product areas, feature prioritization, and audience engagement.
  • Influence and collaborate with executive leadership, presenting compelling findings and recommendations that drive strategic decision-making.
  • Foster a data-driven culture within the organization, promoting the integration of consumer insights into all aspects of the business.
  • Leverage an extensive internal and external network to ensure Google is at the forefront of consumer future understandings and opportunity identification.
