Hardware Engineer, Google Pixel

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience coding with C, C++, Python, or other scripting languages.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with complex system debug, embedded operating systems, or bare metal programming.
  • Experience with embedded system design, development, or debug.
  • Experience with JTAG (Joint Test Action Group) debuggers.
  • Experience with silicon/board level design and validation.
  • Experience with CPU architectures (e.g. ARM) and hardware/software interface, with strong debugging skills.
  • Knowledge of operating system fundamentals.

Google SoC Tensor is key to enabling Google's most advanced AI model to run on Pixel products. In this role, you will work on advanced silicon and provide high-standard user experience and quality to our users.

The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world's most helpful mobile experience. The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, and execute SoC IP screen solutions, power/performance margin correlation, or analysis.
  • Work on the boundary of SoC, software, and hardware, and drive the root cause of issues with cross-functional teams.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report volume product build data to keep improving the yield rate of SoC integration on Pixel products.
